Trevor Lines was engaged in late December 2008 by Fonterra Brands New Zealand Limited, Foodservices to undertake a review of The Kapiti Store, Elliott Stables, Auckland.
Trevor's primary role was to quickly ascertain what areas of improvements were required to ensure The Kapiti Store could achieve its budgeted revenue targets.
Trevor's approach was very direct and hands on, he was able to provide some key top-line recommendations on specific problem areas within 7 days of undertaking the project. During the 3 months Trevor has remained hands on and has helped to mould the stores culture from a service only culture to a more sales focus culture.
Trevor has communicated well during the project and has kept me well informed of his activities. Trevor has also been very helpful in the recruitment and engagement of new personnel.
A key requirement of the Kapiti store project was to have tangible activities for the manager to undertake to improve The Kapiti Stores overall profitability, image and performance. Trevor has provided a detailed deck of information, key tasks and operational improvements to allow us to create a strategic plan for The Kapiti Store. Trevor has enabled The Kapiti Store to begin managing proactively key areas such as staff productivity, stock control, OSH standards, merchandising standards, basic housekeeping, coaching and training, selling styles, reports and reporting and store policies.
Trevor presented all of the outcomes and recommendations in an easy to use format that highlighted the issue, advised actions to take to rectify and provided measurements/timings to follow. I am very pleased with Trevor's performance and the outcomes of the project.
